Three suspects have been charged with the theft of over $28,000 worth of alcohol from at least 11 Walgreens stores across the region.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced late Thursday that Shartavius A. Dunkley, 20; Anaisha E. Charlot, 27; and Travis B. Smith, 20 — all residents of Miami-Dade County — have been arrested by deputies in partnership with the South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team.

According to a statement from PBSO, the thefts occurred at 11 Walgreens stores between November 2024 and January 2025. In each incident, one suspect would enter the store and distract the clerk while the second suspect accessed the liquor stockroom. Entry was typically gained by entering a vertical gap between shelving units in the sales area, leading into the restricted cooler area. The suspects would then stage large quantities of liquor — ranging from $1,200 to $6,000 per incident — and remove the merchandise through an exterior emergency exit, where a getaway vehicle awaited.

Walgreens reported a total of 11 such incidents, resulting in a combined loss of approximately $28,200 across locations in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Brevard counties.

On July 30, 2025, agents and detectives with the PBSO South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team, in conjunction with the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, obtained arrest warrants for all three suspects in Brevard County. Dunkley and Charlot were arrested on charges of robbery, organized retail theft and burglary of a structure. Smith was charged with theft and burglary, but not robbery.
