Boca Raton’s annual “Summer in the City” concert series will begin this week with a performance by a Fleetwood Mac cover band.
The celebration will kick off this Friday, June 13 with Fleetwood Max, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, performing at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. The free concert begins at 8 p.m. and lasts for two hours.
According to an announcement from the city, attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool and use free parking at City Hall and the Boca Raton Library. Food and beverages will be available to purchase inside the venue. All shows go on rain or shine, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Blankets and chairs are welcome, and chairs will also be available to rent for $5.
The concert series as a whole will last into August, featuring:
- June 20 – Stevie Wonder / Lionel Richie Tribute Sun.
- June 29 – FAU Summer Concert Band (Concert begins at 5PM) Fri,
- July 11 – Supernatural & Midnight Joker – Santana / Steve Miller Band Tribute
- July 18 – Lovesong – The Cure Tribute
- July 25 – Women of Country – Tribute to the Ladies of Country Music with Samantha Russell
- Aug. 8 – Battle of the Bands (and Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace)
