Boca Raton police said two people were arrested in connection with a domestic altercation spilled out of a hotel lobby Tuesday and resulted in a fight in a parking lot.
The incident took place just after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Residence Inn Boca Raton, located at 525 NW 77th Street. According to police, a domestic disturbance in the lobby of the hotel led to a physical altercation outside. As officers arrived, a male, believed to have been armed, fled on foot back into his hotel room. Eventually, the man exited the room and was taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, the man – whose name has not yet been released by police – was arrested and charged with simple battery and aggravated assault.
A woman who was associated with the couple was also arrested on scene for an outstanding warrant. Her name, likewise, was not divulged publicly.
Police said there was no threat to the general public.
